From one-man show to global agency<\/h4>\r\n

When Vinz Roosso arrived in Switzerland in 2012, he started his event management business as a one-man show. He is gradually expanding his knowledge and network in order to offer ever more cutting-edge, high-quality services as a global agency in the events sector.<\/p>\r\n

Experience and references<\/h4>\r\n

To do this, he draws on his studies in tourism and leisure management and over ten years’ experience in a number of renowned establishments, including the Sofitel Hotel & Resorts<\/a> chain.<\/p>\r\n

In this context, he has had the opportunity to organise events of all kinds – beach parties, hotel openings, cruise ship entertainment – for prestigious brands such as Christian Dior<\/a>, Miss France<\/a> and the Bollywood Filmfare Awards<\/a>. During this time, he continued to sing and improved his mixing techniques at the Swiss DJ School.<\/p>\r\n

More than 1000 events<\/h4>\r\n

To date, he has had the pleasure of helping to organise and host over a thousand wedding ceremonies<\/a>, corporate events<\/a>, birthday celebrations and private parties<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

Artistic and technical consultant<\/h4>\r\n

Familiar with both the front and back of the stage, he also offers consultancy services to bar, lounge and club<\/a> managers who want to develop their artistic programming, and to venue managers who need to update their technical installations.<\/p>\r\n

A pool of artists from all horizons<\/h4>\r\n

What kind of artists are represented in your agency?<\/p>\r\n

“There are several singers who can perform alone or accompanied by live musicians. Saxophonists, harpists, violinists, guitarists, pianists and percussionists play live in duos, trios and even quartets. Our musical styles range from jazz and classical to soul, funk, Latin, pop and dance. Depending on the type of event, a professional DJ may be required. We also offer the services of magicians, comedians and top-class dancers.”<\/p>\r\n

What are the advantages of using an artist placement agency?<\/p>\r\n

“For the customer, it’s a real time-saver. They have a single point of contact who knows the talents and styles of the artists available on the date they want. We take care of all the administration (one contract, one invoice). We even offer a freelancing service, which involves employing the artist who doesn’t have independent contractor status.<\/p>\r\n

What criteria do you use when deciding which artists to include in your agency?<\/p>\r\n

“It’s all about the feeling. I choose the person based on their artistic talent and because I am moved by the emotion they convey: the quality of their performance, the tone of their voice… There’s also their way of being, their behavior when interacting with customers. In fact, in my view, event entertainment requires a highly professional stance. In that sense, grooming, as we say in our jargon, is an essential value to be a part of the Vinz Roosso Entertainment agency. Specifically, it translates into attitude, the way of presenting oneself, the image one projects.”<\/p>\r\n

Are there any other criteria that are important to you and that influence your choice?<\/p>\r\n

“As well as the emotion and grooming, which I’ve already mentioned, one of the values that is particularly close to my heart is precision in every sense of the word (planning, coordination, management, implementation, realisation, follow-up). There’s also finesse, for example, in the way you sublimate a venue and above all ensure that the experience is a pleasant one for the customer (before, during and also after the big day).”<\/p>\r\n

Technology at the service of the party<\/h4>\r\n

As well as the artists, you’re also in charge of the technical side of things. What exactly does that mean?<\/p>\r\n

“As part of the events we organise with the agency, we offer a range of technical services. These include sound, lighting and lighting effects, as well as the provision of screens with projection systems or giant televisions, the installation of a stage and\/or floors for the dance floor, and the installation of effects machines (smoke, fog, sparks, bubbles, geysers, etc.). We can also personalise the effects by projecting a logo or first name, for example. To manage all these aspects, we make a technician available throughout the event. Everything is delivered to the venue, set up and dismantled by us.<\/p>\r\n

Is it possible to hire equipment without a technician?<\/p>\r\n

“In principle, the hire of technical equipment is linked to one of our event services or to accompany an artist’s performance. However, we do have a few ‘turnkey’ items that we can hire out to groups or individuals, subject to availability, such as the Photo Booth Kit, the Karaoke Kit or the Party Kit.”<\/p>\r\n

Is it true that you also support certain projects over the longer term?<\/p>\r\n

“More and more frequently, my technical expertise is called upon for large-scale projects such as festivals, congresses and seminars. I work as a consultant in close collaboration with partners specialising in the hire and installation of sound and lighting infrastructures. In some cases, I can also act as an interface between the existing technical team and the client.”<\/p>\r\n
